Housecat is a graphic novel for middle readers about an indoor cat who gets outside, discovering what the world is like for stray pets. I wanted to bring to light many of the dangers that outdoor cats face, as well as how damaging they can be to the natural environment. My goal is to encourage pet owners to be responsible when it comes to their animals, and to educate younger readers in an entertaining and encouraging way.

The project is printed and will be displayed as part of the annual thesis show at MECA&D in Portland, ME.
